Saskatchewan health coverage ensures residents have access to several fundamental medical services within the province at no cost. As a Saskatchewan resident and health cardholder, you have coverage for medical services like:
- Medically-essential care provided by physicians (inpatient/outpatient)
- Drugs prescribed and administered in-hospital
- HIV testing
- Sexually transmitted infection (STI) treatments
- Mental health and addiction services
The Saskatchewan health plan requires co-payment for some specific services, such as:
- Dental care associated with accidental damage, infection, or congenital issues
- Optometrist exams and certain ocular emergency procedures
- Hearing health care
- Home care
- Long-term care
- Podiatry
When it comes to your health - don’t limit yourself!
Although Saskatchewan’s health plan provides you with coverage towards basic medical benefits, it still leaves a lot of ground uncovered. SureHealth from GSC offers two insurance product packages that will effectively top up your provincial coverage. Each provides a selection of supplemental insurance plans to choose from (7 plans for ZONE, 4 for LINK).
